Lamarana's Local Leader: St. Francis Center

The center provides a food service program for those in need in Los Angeles.

The St. Francis Center is a food service program that helps the homeless in Los Angeles. 

 On Mondays it hosts a walk through program where the homeless pick up sack lunches. The center offers a pantry program for low income families on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

"Families can come in and do their grocery shopping," says assoicate director Faye Alpaugh. 

The St. Francis center also helps day laborers and low income famalies. The center gets most of the food they serve from donations made by restaurants and grocery stores.
