Apple CEO Speaks Out About Workplace Equality

Apple CEO Tim Cook urged Congress to vote on the Employment Nondiscrimination Act for LGBT employees.

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, published an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal Monday urging Congress to support the Employment Nondiscrimination Act for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

Cook said that Apple has adopted this nondiscrimination policy already and has seen a difference in its workplace with its employees openly sharing their creativity.

Shane'a Thomas, an Adjunct Professor for the School of Social Work Virtual Academic Center, echoed what Cook said in his article that if people aren't able to be themselves in their jobs and show their identity, they won't be able to do their best work.
