Public Memorial Held for Slain TSA Agent
Hundreds attended Tuesday's public memorial service honoring the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent who was killed in the November 1st shooting at Los Angeles International Airport.
The memorial was held at 10 a.m. at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Exposition Park.
Family, friends and more than 300 TSA agents paid their respects to Gerardo Hernandez, 39.
Mayor Eric Garcetti and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder spoke at the event.
Hernandez is the first TSA agent to die in the line of duty. Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, is suspected of pulliing a semi-automatic weapon out of a duffel bag and shooting people inside Terminal 3 of the airport.
Police shot Ciancia at the scene. He is currently hospitalized at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
