Southland Murder Suspect Arrested
A murder suspect was brought back to Southern California Monday following his arrest in San Francisco. The search for 54-year-old Oscar Bridges prompted a statewide manhunt last week. Bridges was found in San Francisco's Mission District on Saturday and was transported to the Norwalk Sheriff's Station earlier Monday.
Bridges is the only suspect in the January 23rd stabbing of 21-year-old Robert Brewer. The incident took place in a motel room at the intersection of 104th Street and Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles. Bridges' connection to Brewer is still unknown.
This is not the first time Bridges has been in trouble with the law. He is a registered sex offender and has a long criminal record, including drug and assault charges.
