UPDATED: Confirmed Cases of Polio-Like Illness Rise in California

A mysterious illness has caused partial paralysis in numerous California children. 

UPDATE|Tuesday, February 25: As of Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control said more than a dozen cases have now been confirmed in California. 

ORIGINAL STORY|Monday, February 24: A mysterious, polio-like illness is being investigated aftering causing partial paralysis in around 20 children across California. After six months, none of the children had recovered limb function. 

Five of the cases are being presented at the American Academy of Neurology's upcoming annual meeting. Experts say the illness is not likely polio, but they are still baffled by the ailment.
