Demands for Justice on Anniversary of Trayvon Martin's Death

The rally in L.A. was part of a national movement that staged protests in more than 15 cities.

Dozens of protesters marched through Crenshaw on Tuesday, the two-year anniversary of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin's death.

The African American teenager was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, on the evening of February 26, 2012 in Sanford, Florida. Zimmerman was charged with - and later acquitted of - manslaughter and second-degree murder.

"It is simply disgusting that he was let off [of the second-degree murder and manslaughter charges]," said Gail Soto, a protester who held a "Stop Mass Incarceration" sign.

She joined the crowd as they chanted, "No more murders of our black and brown youth!"
