University Village Expansion Project Update

The University Village renovation is expected to feature significant changes in the outdoor plaza. Plans for amending the structure include building restaurants, a basketbal and green space to sustain recreational activities. Although such green spaces sound ideal for student enjoyment, some students fear that the green space will be used for commercial purposes.

The lead designer for the University Village project suggests that there is ample space for field play and the area will provide an outdoor space the size of about three and a half football fields. The current workout facilities that USC offers can become overfilled and cramped, so many students will be able to use this new field for exercising, playing sports and recreation.
