Campus Blood Drive Draws All Types

The three-day blood drive was largely supported by the Interfraternity Council.

USC's Red Cross Club finished their three-day-long blood drive on Thursday. Participants headed to Pardee Plaza to donate. Each person could give up to three pints of blood.

According to the Red Cross, every two seconds a person is in need of blood. And everyday, 41 million blood donations are made. Many suffering from sickle cell anemia, cancer and other medical ailments need regular blood donations in order to live.

The Interfraternity Council is planning on creating a competition among fraternities for who can give the most blood and, and the greek organization has vowed to encourage more students to donate blood.
