Support for Gay Marriage Growing among Young Republicans

Fifty-four percent of the overall public supports same-sex marrage.

A new PEW Research study revealed that support for Gay marriage is growing among young republicans.

The study found that 61 percent of Republicans, ages 18 to 29, favor gay marriage. But that number drops drastically to 39 percent among all Republicans.

Support for gay marriage is significantly higher among Democrats with 77 percent of Democrats ages 18 to 29 support gay marriage.

Same-sex marriage now boasts support from 54 percent of the overall public, according to the study.

Republicans are beginning to adapt to the changing times, said LGBT member Joshan Smith-Stewart.
