UN Report on Climate Change
The United Nations scientific panel warned on Monday about the danger of a potential climate change.
If the world's nations do not eradicate the pollution of heat trapping gases, the effects of global warming will spiral "out of control," according to the UN.
The 32-volume report was issued by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and called for a reduction in emissions. It cited recent national disasters, including heat waves in Europe, wildlfires in the United States and flooding in Thailand to convey the vulnerability of humanity against climate change.
More than one-hundred governments unanimously approved the report, recognizing the current age of potentially drastic changes in the earth's climate.
Scientists believe that impending climate change will put plants and animals at risk, both on land and in marine environments.
