One Million People in Los Angeles Not Covered
Religious leaders, students, and family members gathere in Downtown L.A. Tuesday and called on the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors to help their loved ones get health care.
Supervisor Don Knabe said the biggest issue is funding. The alternative program, Healthy Way LA 2.0, said more funding would allow them to increase enrollment from 150 thousand people to 300 thousand people.
Until the state finalizes its budget in June, the Board of Supervisors will hold off on making a decision about the program.
