Campus Center Fire

A fire at the Campus Center kept students out for 40 minutes on Monday.

Students and staff evacuated the Ronald Tutor Campus Center at noon Monday after a fire broke out in the building. Guards stood at the entrance to the Campus Center and turned people away for nearly 40 minutes.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but a DPS officer said something overheated. According to the manager of Traditions Bar and Grill, there was a problem with a vent in the building. There have been no injuries reported.
