Former Cedars-Sinai Aide Under Investigation

A former nursing assistant at Cedars-Sinai is under investigation after being accused of sexual assault.

Detectives served a search warrant at Cedars-Sinai earlier this year to get disciplinary records fo Guillermo Fernando Diaz.

Diaz was a nursing assistant assigned to heart patients. He has been accused by two former patients who say they were molested while heavily medicated.

Cedars-SInai released the following statement:

"As a result of our internal investigations, the employee was fired for violation of several Cedars-Sinai policies... We continue in our efforts to enhance linking what had previously been separate databases related to employee records, patient complaints and other information."

Los Angeles Times student reporter Ani Ucar talked about the investigation.
