The collision sent one truck careening into a dumpling house, officials said.

Two fire trucks collided in Monterey Park on Wednesday afternoon, propelling one of the trucks into a restaurant and injuring more than a dozen.

A Monterey Park Fire Department truck careened through the front of the Lu Dumpling House, located on the corner of Emerson and Garfield.

Monterey Park is about 10 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

According to Chief Jim Birrell of the Monterey Park F.D., the fire crews were both en route to a house fire in the southern portion of the city.
