High risk areas include most of Los Angeles County, the Santa Monica Mountains, LA County Mountains, Orange County, the San Fernando Valley, and all coastal areas are under the red flag warning.

A Pasadena Fire Department official urged residents to keep on the lookout for fires.

Red flag parking restrictions will go into effect in select areas of LA so that fire trucks can make it through narrow streets.
