Food Trucks Battle for a Cause

Food trucks gathered in McCarthy Quad to fundraise for kids with special needs.

Food Truck Wars is an annual fundraising event hosted by USC's Panhellenic Council. Local business owners said they are happy to participate.

The businesses paid an entry fee to be involved in the event and also donated a portion of their earnings.

This year's event raised money for USC Kicks for Kids, a new student group on campus that provides healthy living opportunities for children with special needs.

Students participating in the event said it is an opportunity to break the routine of on-campus dining.

USG is making an effort to increase the diversity of food options available to USC students.
