Immigrant-Rights Advocates Prepare for May Day March
Activists announced plans for this year's May Day March which will take place in parts of Downtown Los Angeles.
Thousands of protestors are expected to march for immigrant rights and worker safety from Chinatown to the federal detention center on Alameda Street.
Art Cribbs, the Executive Director of Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE) said the May Day March is an important way "to remind people the dignity of work, the dignity of human life and to remind us that we have to join together."
Jorge Cabrera with the Southern California Coalition for Occupational Health and Safety said it is important "to bring awareness to the struggles of workers."
