Dodger TV Blackout Begins

Aroud 75 percent of people in the LA area will not be able to watch the Dodgers' home opener on TV.

It's time for Dodger baseball, but fans will need Time Warner Cable to watch it on Sportsnet LA.

"I'm personally not a fan of it," said Dodger fan Natalie Parra. "I think it's unnecessary."

Parra is a die hard Dodger fan who doesn't have Time Warner Cable, the only carrier of Dodger baseball. She's frustrated she can't follow her boys in blue on TV.

"I hate following it through social media," said Parra. "It's not the same. Through the radio, it's not the same"

Pay TV providers like Direct TV are reluctant to pay Time Warner's price for the channel that will carry the Dodger games. Subscribers to other pay TV providers won't be able to see those games.

About 75 percent of people in the LA area will not be able to watch the Dodgers' home opener on TV.

Time Warner is currently "in active negotiations with providers."

Looks like McCourt regained ownership. Nasty tricks again. Let the new boycott begin.
