Bell Gardens Mayor Fatally Shot

The mayor of Bell Gardens, California, was shot and killed on Tuesday afternoon by his wife in what is believed to have been a domestic dispute, according to authorities.

Daniel Crespo died shortly after he was shot by his wife, who was described as his high school sweetheart in a city biography.

Crespo was elected as mayor last year.

Los Angeles sherrif's officials said that Crespo's wife is currently in police custody.
