People around the world celebrated Guy Fawkes Day by donning masks inspired by the infamous rebel. Guy Fawkes, who lived in the 17th Century, was part of a scheme to assassinate English King James I before was arrested Nov. 5. People in Britain usually celebrated this day with bonfires and fireworks for the past 400 years, but the association of the Guy Fawkes mask with hacktivist group Anonymous changed the tone of the holiday. Today, many took advantage of the holiday by using Guy Fawkes Day as an opportunity to stage protests around the world, calling it "The Million Mask March."
