The fifteen hikers who disappeared in Pasadena Sunday evening were rescued and found safe on Monday.
Two helicopter crews helped track down the group. Once they were spotted, a paramedic was lowered down to examine the hikers. They were then hoisted out of the wilderness and driven to the command post, where they were reunited with family and friends.

The hikers, who were members  of a church group in Huntington Park, set out Sunday morning for a day hike in the Eaton Canyon area but went missing overnight, according to L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Johnie Jones. A relative of one of the hikers says the group was well-prepared for the hike but lost cell phone reception. They decided to spend thenight in the canyon because it got dark, deputies said. On Sunday night, someone called the local sheriff’s station to report that the group was lost and officails conducted a search.

Among the group were eleven adults and four juveniles. A female hiker suffered a minor leg injury during the morning’s rescue. No other injuries were reported.
