USC Basketball Eyes Season Opener

The USC men's basketball team took down Cal State LA, 87-68, in an exhibition game Saturday behind an 18-point performance by freshman guard Jodan McLaughlin. The Trojans struggled in the early going, trailing 12-1 at one point, but used a strong second half showing to fly past the Golden Eagles. 

The Cardinal and Gold look to use their experience from the preseason game as a spring board as they take on Portland State in the season-opener at the Galen Center Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
