USC Safety App Available for Download

Live Safe is a new app designed to promote safety on USC's campus. ATVN's Kim Leoffler reports.

The campus safety app developed by Live Safe became available for download Tuesday.

When students open the app, it prompts them to sign up with an email and phone number, then based on their location, the app suggests a school to connect them to.

LiveSafe offers their app to students at universities across the country from Georgetown and Arizona State and now, USC.

With this app, anyone can easily report tips, contact DPS via text or phone, track friends and find safe areas on campus.

When submitting tips, students can choose to submit them anonymously.

The safety map includes crimes in the area from anywhere up to the last year, safe places and tips for safety.

In SafeWalk, students can invite their friends to join and they can track where they are on campus.
