Dodger Andre Ethier Unveils New Learning Center

Dodger Andre Either unvieled the Maggie and Andrew Ethier Learning Center on Thursday.

Thursday afternoon Dodger Andre Either unveiled the grand opening of the Maggie and Andre Ethier Learning Center at the Union Rescue Mission.

The URM is a non-profit organization that provides the homeless with education and counseling services.

“We serve about 810 or more people everyday and this is home for everybody who lives here,” said CEO Andy Bales. Residents do not have strict times they have to arrive or leave, but rather can come and go as they please.  URM provides more than just housing for the men, women, and children it helps, it serves as a source for life improvement.

“We are all about life transformation and a big part of that, an integral part of that is our learning center,” said Bales.

The revitalized learning center offers up to 400 hours of education per person.
