LA County Proposes Increase In Water Fines
The Los Angeles Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday morning to discuss an ordinance that could lead to hefty fines for county residents found misusing water at a later date.
The fine for acts like watering driveways and washing a car without turning the hose off might increase five-fold from $100 to $500, if the measure passes.
But before everyone stops washing their cars, it is important to note that this initiative would only affect residents living in unicorportated areas of Los Angeles county, including Altadena, Lennox and Del Aire near LAX, Rancho Dominguez in the South Bay and View Park, Windsor Hills and Baldwin Hills north of Inglewood.
