Obama Signs Bill Aiding Veterans

Pres. Obama signed into law an act that aims to lower the number of suicides among veterans. ATVN's Emily Thornburg reports.

About 8,000 veterans commit suicide each year, according to the Dept. of Veteran Affairs. On Thursday, Pres. Obama signed into law an act that aims to lower the number of suicides among veterans.

The law, which had strong bipartisan support, focuses on helping returning soldiers transition from active duty back into civilian life.
