2x NBA MVP Nash Retires

Former Laker, Sun and Maverick Steve Nash retires at age 41.

Former 2x NBA most valuable player and 8x allstar point guard Steve Nash announced his retirement Tuesday at the Los Angeles Lakers' practice facility in El Segundo, California. Nash, who played the last three seasons with the Lakers, is third all-time on the NBA's assists list.

The 41-year-old did not play a game this season after reinjuring a back problem during the preseason. Nash says that he use his time away from the game as an opportunity to catch up on some much needed rest and plans to remain in LA with his family.
