No.1 Women of Troy Pursue PAC-12 Perfection

The USC women's tennis team achieves top rank for first time since 2003.

The No.1 USC women's tennis team (14-2, 3-0) will travel up the coast Friday for a series of games against PAC-12 opponents. Playing in their first match since being moved to the nation's top seed, the Women of Troy face the Oregon Ducks to kick off their road trip before heading farther north to battle the Washington Huskies Saturday.

USC's No. 1 ranking is the first time the team has reached the summit since 2003, but members of the squad are not going to let that get to their heads and are focusing on one game at a time. In last year's meetings against the two opponents, the Women of Troy claimed both matches, 4-0. USC and Oregon will take to the courts with match set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
