USC Baseball Poised for Pepperdine
The No. 9 USC baseball team (19-5, 2-1) stole a three-game weekend road series against Cal Poly, winning the final two games by a combined score of 22-2. The Trojans dropped the first game of the series, 5-4, allowing the Mustangs to register all five runs in the sixth inning. Junior infielder Blake Lacey led the USC attack, tallying five RBIs throughout the series, including a three RBI outing in Saturday's 13-0 dismantling.
The Trojans return home for a quick one-game meeting with the Pepperdine Waves Tuesday before heading out on a PAC-12 roadtrip to Washington and Arizona. First pitch at Dedeaux Field against the Waves is set for 6:00 p.m.
