USC Sand Volleyball Preps for Pepperdine

The No. 3 Women of Troy return from perfect trip in paradise.

The No. 3 USC sand volleyball team (6-0) returns from an unblemished three-game tropical trip to Hawai'i and welcomes No. 2 Pepperdine as the next obstacle on the pursuit of perfection. The Women of Troy did not drop a single game throughout their road stint, capturing wins over No. 1 Hawai'i, Nebraska and California. Also on the trip, sophomores Sara Hughes and Kelly Claes claimed the Queen of the Beach crown as the winners of the pairs tournament.

After handling strong competition in quick succession, USC's Hughes explains that her teammates are ready for the challenge and willing to step up to any opponent. The Women of Troy look to coast over the Waves in the friendly confines of Merle Norman Stadium Tuesday with match slated to begin at 2:00 p.m.
