I'ts Equal Pay Day and people are showing their support to end the gender wage gap. This year's Equal Pay Day falls on April 14 to symbolize the extra 104 days that women would have to work to make the same amount of money men did in 2014. Women only earn 78 cents per every one dollar a man makes, and women make up 47% of the total workforce. Student shared their reactions to the movement. 

Another social media movement made its mark in the Twitter world today. Users were tweeting #ToTheGirls to celebrate and share advice to women everywhere. The trend was originated by author Courtney Summers who writes young adult novels that focus on strong female characters.
