No. 3 Women of Troy Seek 5th MPSF Title

The USC women's water polo team looks to avenge last year's first round tournament loss.

The No. 3 USC women's water polo team (21-3, 4-2) travels to Tempe, Arizona for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships to begin postseason play. The Women of Troy will look to avoid the same fate as last year's MPSF tournament, where they feel in the first round of play, but senior Eike Daube and freshman keeper Victoria Chamorro say that the team is focused and ready to make a late tournament run.

USC will begin its compaign against San Jose State Friday, a team it beat 21-6 April 11 in the home season finale at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center. The Women of Troy and Spartans will jump in the pool at 12:30 p.m. as USC makes its run at an automatic NCAA tournament birth.
