USC Club Aims To Send Clean Water To Nepal
USC Club H2O is working to send water filters to help victims of the earthquake in Nepal. The group's President, Kevin Kassel, and Vice President, Cy Maroofian, said they sent 24 filters to Nepal yesterday, and hope to send more.
The death toll from the earthquake rose to more than 4,600 yesterday. More than 9,000 people were injured and eight million people are still in need of help.
You can find out more about Club H2O here. The USC Red Cross Club is organizing a donation to support relief efforts. One USC student, Sorelle Cohen, is also planning on donating money gathered from a bracelet business to Nepali orphans. She was inspired to start the movement in honor of Dan Friedinburg, a USC alum who lost his life during the earthquake.
