Su'a Cravens: "We Play for Each Other"
The No. 19 USC football team (3-1, 1-1) traveled to Tempe, Arizona and knocked off Arizona State (2-2, 0-1) in the first road game of the season for the Trojans Saturday night, 42-14. In the win, junior linebacker Su’a Cravens tallied a team high six tackles, including two for a loss and notched a forced fumble to his belt.
Cravens, a team captain, explained after the game that the Trojan’s defensive success came down to aggressiveness and being able to force turnovers by causing pressure and knocking ASU quarterback Mike Bercovici off his game. Cravens also discussed the talent of some of his teammates, mainly sophomore Adoree’ Jackson, who he says should be a Heisman Trophy candidate.
The Trojans will be back in action after a bye week to take on the University of Washington Huskies at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum October 8.
