Less Tricks, More Treats This Halloween

This Halloween, major restaurant chains are offering free food and discounts. Will you be waiting in line?

It’s that time of year again: the time of year where you have an excuse to splurge on Twix, M&Ms and Twizzlers—Halloween. But if you want to branch out of Kit Kats and Peanut Butter Cups this year, you have a variety of options. In fact, these options can be highly discounted or even free.

First, Chipotle is featuring three dollar “Booritos” on Halloween from 5 p.m. to close. Customers simply need to dress up and add something unnecessary to their costume illustrate the message that additives in most fast food chains are also unnecessary. “Boorito” profits will go to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation and sustainable farming efforts.

Next, Krispy Kreme is giving out one free donut to anyone who wears a costume and visits a participating Krispy Kreme location.

Kids twelve and under in costume can receive a free breakfast, lunch and dinner on Halloween.  IHOP is offering a free pancake on Halloween, Olive Garden is offering a free meal with purchase of an adult entrée and Panda Express is offering a free meal during dinner time.

Although it is not free, Starbucks is releasing a vampire-inspired Frappuccino that is available from October 28 through October 31. The “Frappula Frappuccino” has white chocolate sauce and blended milk and ice in between mocha sauce and whipped cream with raspberry syrup on the rim. Last year, the Halloween Frappuccino was titled the “Franken Frappuccino.”
