ITMC: Cokie Roberts Visits The Media Center

Roberts offered advice to student journalists.

"Living legend" Cokie Roberts visited the Media Center on September 16.  Roberts, a political analyst and correspondent for ABC News and NPR, kicked off the Donatelli Experts-in-Residence speaker series.  She spoke to a crowd of Annenberg students and faculty about historical female journalists and what it's like to be a woman in the industry.

Her next stop: the Media Center, where she spoke with students about the 2016 election and journalism ethics, and gave them advice about succeeding as a journalist.

“Students should definitely improve their writing, and learn to keep working hard - because that’s how they will become successful," Roberts said.

Roberts reminded students to be involved with the Media Center outlets. “Take advantage of the Media Center, because it is truly amazing!”
