The History Of Helton; Taking USC To The Pac-12 Championships

Newly hired head coach, Clay Helton, will take on his first challenge at the Pac-12 Championship game this weekend.

Interim no more. USC announced on Monday that Clay Helton would be hired permanently as the Trojans head coach. Helton, who led the football team to a 5-2 record, as the interim head coach, is no stranger to USC nor to football coaching in general. Though he has only been with USC since 2010, he has been coaching for almost 20 years and will see his first challenge as head coach this weekend when the Trojans head to Santa Clara to play Stanford for the Pac-12 championship.

The entire USC football team will need to carry their momentum from their big win over UCLA and their excitement over the Helton hiring to their game on Saturday.
