John Plattenburg: "Every Time I'm On The Field Is An Opportunity."
The USC Football team knocked off the University of Arizona for a "Homecoming" victory on Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. After a slow start, the Trojans came from behind to defeat the Wildcats 38-30. The momentum was sparked by sophomore safety, John Plattenburg, who picked off Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon at the Trojans 6-yard line. The play sparked a Trojan scoring drive when Cody Kessler hit Juju Smith-Schuster for a deep touchdown pass.
Plattenburg discussed the defense's sense of discipline in the game especially in the face of Arizona's passing performance. As a key defensive player, he also addressed his energy and momentum throughout the game as well as his key stops on special teams and kickoff returns.
Next up Plattenburg along with the USC football team will face The University of Colorado on-the-road this Friday night.
