Student Athletes Discuss Diversity At USC

Minorities make up the majority of USC athletics' rosters. How does that impact their Trojan experience?

In the fall of 2014, Black students made up 4.4% of the USC undergraduate population. Of those individuals, only 11 percent were on an athletic team, yet one of the common questions for a Black member of the Trojan Family is, "What sport do you play?"

ATVN Sports' Grace DeWitt hosted Reggie Southall of the men's baseball team and Dominique Randle of the women's soccer team for a discussion on diversity and the racial climate on campus from the perspective of a student-athlete.
