Nuha Abujaber

News Anchor
Class of 2013

Nuha Abujaber was born in Amman, Jordan and spent her early years there. Abujaber received her B.A. from Boston College with a major in Communication and a minor in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. Her interest in broadcast journalism and television production came to light during an internship at CNN International in London. After her year abroad and the conclusion of university, Nuha moved to New York to accept a position with MTV Networks. In an effort to receive more practical knowledge, Nuha enrolled in the NBC News Digital/Broadcast Journalism Training Program. This was an intensive course with the opportunity to act as researcher, producer, camera person, writer, editor and correspondent; all the training needed to be a digital journalist. The experience helped Nuha realize her new love of the on-air aspect of the business. After six years in the U.S. Nuha moved back home where she worked at an English Radio Station where she hosted an entertainment, sports and weather segment. She is currently working towards a masters degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern California and is enjoying co-anchoring every Thursday at Annenberg Television News. In addition Nuha contributes to USC's digital online publication, Neon Tommy. Abujaber is fluent in Arabic and English and has studied Spanish and French.
