Miracles Do Happen

TAGS:

At the beginning of the semester, if someone had told me that for my last shift as Lead Producer I would be able to hang out from four to five and listen to music with my teammates because the show was ready and all the videos were online, I would have told them they were crazy. I guess miracles do happen though, because the last Wednesday of the semester was incredible.

Our biggest problem on Team Wednesday was our lack of MJ’s, but as luck would have it, tons of people from other days came to make

up their shifts. Because we’re so used to having only six or seven people to work with, the added manpower was a great help.

We all sat in the newsroom bracing ourselves for breaking news (because things truly seemed too good to be true) but it never happened. We headed over to the studio with enough time for our anchors to run the show twice and they did a fabulous job. The only little bit of excitement we had was adding the detail that Kobe Bryant had broken a record into the sports block. Although our graphic accidentally got deleted, we turned it into a copy story and made it work.

This semester at ATVN has been my best yet. I can’t wait to see what Spring 2013 will bring.
