Story Orde Is Important

Order and placement is important in a newscast. The newscast can start off with some hard-hitting news or stories that will touch your viewer’s hearts. Whatever order you put your stories in the newscast, it has to make sense! Last week’s newscast, the protest stories were grouped together at the top of newscast. Right after the protest stories, all the business-related stories came next. It’s important to group the right stories together because you do not want your viewers to feel like they’re on a roller coaster. You want your viewers to feel at ease when they watch the newscast.

Placing stories in the right order takes time and practice. Obviously, the biggest stories should be on top. In the beginning it’s difficult to order the stories because you don’t know which stories will make it to the newscast, but in the end, it all works out. Overall, this is one of the biggest duties as a producer. With practice, it’s gets easier and easier. It’s actually one of my favorite duties.
