Semester Goals

It's been a great semester so far, and I can't believe how quickly it is going by. We have gotten through every producer rotation and I think the team is comfortable and confident. However, that doesn't mean there is no room for improvement. Here are some of my goals for the rest of the semester. 

As Web/Social/Copy Producer: 

• Come up with more creative and engaging social media posts. 
• Get social media users to engage with ATVN on Twitter and Facebook. 
• Create original content for ATVN social media outlets. 

As 1 p.m./Graphics Producer: 

• Have everything go smootly for the 1 p.m. show. (Last time the videos were not working.) 
• Do something for the 1 p.m. that hasn't been done before. For example, focus the whole show on one story with mutiple angles, use only MJs and a variety of camera shots, etc... 
• Have all the graphics and ANCG's ready at least thirty minutes before run-throughs. 

As Video Producer: 

• Have ALL the CGs, runs, outcues and TRTs in EVERY story as soon as the MJ is done with it. Basically, not have to go through before the show and input a bunch of CGs. The key to this is finding a way to get every MJ to understand that this is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. We have tried to make this very clear, but we still have problems with it. Although we are getting better, I want to have no problems with CGs at the end of the semester. 
• Have every video sent and ready to go in time for run-throughs.

As Lead Producer:

• Have the show perfectly timed and not have to float any story. I know this is pretty much impossible, especially because of breaking news, but I think it would be cool if I could do that. 
• Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and make sure everyone knows what is going on at all times. 
• Be able to keep track of all reporters and have them update me through text throughout the day. 

Team Monday is doing great so far and I am confident that we will continue to air great shows throughout the rest of the semester!
