The Web and Beyond

When we first got our 30-page web handbook guide needless to say I was extremely overwhelmed. I was very intimidated by how high-tech and up-to-date our website was and how big of a role I would be playing in it.

The first two times I would write stories for the web, I would have to follow the handbook for every single step and I would still have multiple questions for Bianca before I could publish anything. However, when I had one of the web writers come to me with their question on Thursday, I actually knew the answer.

It took me by surprise how much I was able to not only do myself, but could actually teach to someone else. Going through the story they had written and explaining how to put in the links and the pictures and changing the weight of the story were all aspects of the web that I could not do without the handbook before, and there I was teaching someone else how to do it all as if I were the handbook myself.

It was a really cool feeling to see first hand how much I have actually learned by working on the web and how much more confident I am with my writing and editing skills. I personally think the web is one of the best pasts of ATVN and gives broadcast students a chance to expand upon their broadcast skills and improve their writing skills.

I have enjoyed working for the web so much and continue to be impressed by the content and hard work that goes into it each and every day.
