UPDATED 5:32 p.m. - Authorities confirmed to ATVN that the Bentley driver of the deadly hit-and-run turned himself in to the sheriff's West Hollywood Station and has been booked.

Ryan Bowman, accompanied by his lawyer, turned himself to the sheriff’s West Hollywood Station in connection with a hit and run that left a woman dead Wednesday night, according to authorities.

Bowman was booked for suspicion of manslaughter, according to the sheriff's department.

Authorities believe Bowman is an Australian national.

The West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies believe alcohol may have played a factor.

UPDATED 5 p.m. - Bentley Driver in the deadly hit-and-run may have surrendered to authorities, CBS reporter Dave Lopez said.

EXCLUSIVE: ATVN spoke with the manager for the band The Right Coast, who was playing at the Roxy right before the fatal hit-and-run on the Sunset Strip Wednesday night.

Mike Scocozza said he and the band were inside the Roxy last night when they heard a commotion.

They ran outside and saw a body lying on the ground, and the Bentley reportedly involved in the incident.

Scocozza says people were shocked and stunned. He also said the band's van was parked outside and could not be moved for hours because of the police investigation.

Authorities have not released a photo of the victim.

A 21-year-old woman was struck and killed by a Bentley as she tried to cross the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood Wednesday night.

The victim, who has been identified as Hollywood resident Lauren Ann Freeman, had apparently just attended a concert by band The Right Coast at the Roxy Theater.

She was struck at the crosswalk around 11:50 p.m. on Sunset Boulevard at Hammond Street. Witnesses say she was struck by a dark vehicle and was thrown about 50 ft.

Investigators have confirmed that they have recovered the vehicle, a charcoal gray Bentley, in a neighborhood near La Cienega Boulevard and Melrose Avenue.

The vehicle has front-end damage.

"We're asking anyone who has information about this fatal crash to call the sheriff's West Hollywood station at (310) 855-8850,'' Detective Sgt. Jason Schreiner said. "The investigator in charge is Detective Brooks of Traffic Division."
