Northern California Shaken by Another Tremblor

Northern California has been shaken by two moderate earthquakes within 24 hours.

An earthquake reported near Berkeley early Thursday morning is the second tremblor to hit the area in the past 24 hours.

There have not been any reported damages.

The 3.6 magnitude earthquake had a depth of 5.6 miles. According to the USGS, the epicenter was three miles from Albany and 11 miles from San Francisco City Hall.

Another 4.7 magnitude earthquake shook the area bordering the California-Nevada border near Reno Wednesday evening.

Northern California has been shaken by several light to moderate earthquakes over the last week. Two other earthquakes were reported near Berkeley last Thursday.

Berkeley sits on top of the Hayward Fault Zone with a strike zone of 74 miles and runs through several densly-populated cities.
