Student Allegedly Assaulted Outside SAG Awards

A USC student was allegedly sexually assaulted while sidewalk star-gazing at the SAG awards.

A student reported Sunday night that she was sexually assaulted while star-watching as celebrities arrived at L.A.'s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The woman claims to have felt something pushing up against her while standing in a crowd on the sidewalk across from the Shrine Auditorium.

A DPS Crime Alert was sent to students Monday morning reporting the victim turned around to discover that the pressure she felt was the suspect's "fully erected penis."

She began to step away to find the suspect, but he disappeared into the crowd.

LAPD and USC DPS have both responded to the incident.

DPS Captain David Carlisle said that individuals similar to this suspect "normally don't do that just once. It's something that they're driven to do. They will do it again, and maybe they've been arrested before. So we could really use a break in the case or a witness. Barring that, we'll need some luck."

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 38 to 40-years-old, 5-foot 10-inches tall, 180 pounds, with dark hair and wearing a navy blue baseball hat, black sunglasses, white sweatshirt, black shorts.

No vehicle was reported, and he is still at large. The search for the suspect is in the hands of both agencies' detectives.
