Students Gear Up for Drake Concert
Drake has a scheduled performance at the Galen Center Monday night as part of his Club Paradise Tour. Set to join him at the performance are Kendrick Lamar and A$ap Rocky.
The U.S. leg of the tour has consisted of performances at college campuses across the country. The Los Angeles performance will begin Drake's brief tour of West Coast colleges which will end at the Viejas Arena in San Diego on March 11.
Approximately 5,000 attendees are expected for the event-- enough for USC Transportation to issue a severe traffic alert.
In an email sent to the campus community Monday morning, the alert stated that attendees are scheduled to begin arriving at 5:30 p.m. and that the concert will end at approximately 10:30 p.m.
The following streets were warned to prepare for heavy traffic:
- Royal Street Plaza from Jefferson Boulevard to Flower Street from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- 32nd Street, going southbound on Figueroa Street from 5 p.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m.
- 32nd Street, going southbound on Flower Street to Exposition Boulevard from 5 p.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m.
