Proposed "London Eye" for Venice Beach

A British company reportedly has a planned public presentation for Monday night asking to construct an observation wheel at Venice Beach similar to the London Eye.

According to handbills distributed in the area last week, the "Great Observation Wheel" would be temporary and constructed on an already existing concrete pad at the beach.

It has been described by the company as a temporary project that can be constructed and removed in approximately a week's time.

The presentation was promoted by advertisements as being scheduled to be held at the Westminister Senior Citizen Center on Pacific Ave at 6:30 p.m.
