Tour of John McKay Center

An exclusive look inside the John McKay construction site.

USC Athletic Directors Pat Haden and Mark Jackson opened up the construction site for the John McKay Center to media on Thursday, giving the first glimpse of what's in store for Trojan student-athletes.

A USC Construction Live Cam is also available on the Trojan Athletic Fund website.

The John McKay Center, which sits adjacent to Heritage Hall, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2012, and "will provide our student-athletes with every opportunity to succeed in academics and athletics" according to USC Athletics. Student-athletes, staff, and coaches will be able to interact outside of sports and the classroom in the new center.

The most fascinating addition to the John McKay center? The indoor football field. Meeting rooms, coaches offices, locker rooms, weight and training rooms, an academic center, and a digital media production facility are also under construction.

The center broke ground in January.
